**Position Overview:**
Are you ready to join a dynamic and rapidly growing sales team? We are looking for a passionate and driven Sales Territory Manager to help us expand our presence in the construction and commercial building products sectors. This role is perfect for someone with a strong sales background who is excited about building relationships and driving business growth. As a Sales Territory Manager, you will focus on selling our Commercial Roller Shade product line and developing strong partnerships with architecture and design firms.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Strategic Sales Planning:**
- Develop and implement a focused sales plan to grow business opportunities and achieve sales targets.
- Utilize effective territory planning to balance sales efforts and manage time productively, with a mix of A&D and Distribution.
- **Customer Engagement:**
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including owners, architects, designers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the Sales Director and Inside Sales Representative to maximize sales efforts.
- Act as an industry resource, offering technical assistance, product recommendations, and specifications to customers.
- **Sales Growth:**
- Follow up on Weekly Quote Report to maximize the quote-to-order ratio.
- Prospect daily to uncover new leads and opportunities.
- Maintain a list of top accounts and projects across the region.
- Analyze competition to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to improve profitability and close ratios.
- **Project and Sales Support:**
- Maximize selling time by leveraging internal resources like Account Managers, Technical Support, Order Entry, and Finance.
- Ensure all customer projects are followed up on in a timely and effective manner, coordinating necessary actions for successful outcomes.
- Provide product education through AIA CEU Lunch presentations (minimum of 6 per year).
- **Reporting and Systems Management:**
- Maintain accurate account files and follow-up procedures.
- Utilize and update sales data systems and construction reporting services.
- **Travel Requirements:**
- Expect overnight travel up to 50% of the month.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:**
- College degree preferred, or equivalent field experience. Successful sales experience can enhance candidacy.
- **Experience:**
- Previous experience in inside or outside sales, with a proven background in prospecting, cold-calling, and business development.
- Construction sales experience is essential. Window coverings sales experience is highly preferred.
- Experience calling on architects and designers is a plus.
- **Skills:**
- Proven ability to grow sales and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong listening, probing, and closing skills.

**Job Requirements:**
- **Education:**
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience in the field. Successful sales experience may also enhance candidacy.
- **Sales Experience:**
- Previous experience in inside or outside sales in a business-to-business environment.
- Proven success in prospecting, cold-calling, and business development.
- Extensive construction sales experience is preferred, with window coverings sales experience being highly desirable.
- Experience managing sales territories and handling multiple states is a plus.
- **Technical Skills:**
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- **Regional Commitment:**
- Must reside within the region or be willing to relocate.
- Willing to travel within the assigned territory.
- **Industry Experience:**
- Experience working with architects and designers is a plus.
- Familiarity with the commercial roller shade product line (preferred but not required).
- Healthcare and hospitality industry experience is a plus.
- Experience with commercial building products and other related industries is preferred.
